Order of PSLE Booklets
Dear all,
Please be reminded to bring $10 (a $10 note) tomorrow to pay for the bulk ordering of PSLE booklets for the class.
The cost of the books are as follow:
EMS - $5 (for 3 books)
HCL - $1.20
CL - $1.50
Pupils who are taking HCL will need both CL and HCL books. Hence the total cost will be $7.70
Pupils who are taking CL will only need to pay $6.50.
In the interest of time, in order to reduce logistic issues of getting exact amount in coins, I will be collecting in bulk as $10 per pupil. (Parents, please note that the 6 pupils taking CL will be refunded $1.20 on the spot)
The remaining money of $2.30 per pupil will be placed into a 'class fund' under my care. I will hold on to it for future events which may require full class participation/payment. In the event that the amount is not used up by end of the year, I will return it after PSLE.
If you have already purchased the books on your own, and do not wish to purchase in bulk with the class, please alert me by tomorrow. (Note that the books need to be new 2013 paper, with nothing written in it as they will be used by the teachers)
Thank you for understanding.

Ratio
Dear children,
Some notes for today's homework:
- Must write heading for ratio / fraction in number statements.
- Write clear final statements.
Example:
What fraction of A is B?
Remember, the quantity that follows "..fraction of" will be your denominator. Hence the quantity for A should be the denominator.
Your final statement should then be: "B is (Fraction Answer) of A.

Some events to note for next week
Dear children,
Some things to note for next week:
School Health Visit
You do not need to submit your health booklets this time around. Do note that our class is scheduled for the health check on the 15th Jan, Wednesday. Those of you with glasses, please remember to bring them along.
CNY Sincerity and Charity Drive
I will be collecting the donations from Tuesday to Thursday. Please put your donation amount into a red packet and bring it along. Remember, no gift too small!! Any amount within your means would be sufficient, I hope to see 100% participation from the class, we all can do our part to help others! =)))
Recycling: Newspaper and Can Tabs collection
You may start to bring along your newspapers for recycling, just place it at the back of the classroom neatly! It would be good if you can tie it up at home first, but if not, our science monitors would gladly help you with it. The container for the can tabs will be kept in the classroom cupboard.
Yours Truly,
Miss Chan

First Day of School 2014
Dear all,
Welcome back to school, I hope you had a good first day! I'm am pleased to be with all of you for another year as the form teacher of 6 Resilience 6. Your co-form teacher will be Ms Goh Lee Chuan (HOD PE/CCA).
Dear parents, I will still be using the same mobile number. However currently it is not possible to keep in touch with me via that number as my phone is undergoing servicing. I apologise if I've missed some messages or calls over the past 1 week. Please leave a message with the general office if you wish to contact me.
Some reminders: Bring a working thermometer tomorrow, an English storybook, class survey + letter, art materials for decorating the classroom and come in your PE attire for your team bonding games. There is no need to bring any workbooks or textbooks as lessons will officially start next week. I will inform you of your core subject teachers tomorrow and what to bring for the Term 1 Week 1 (We are currently in Week 0). The timetable will only be released next week.
Do take time to think about what class vision to have for our class this year!
Yours Sincerely,
Miss Chan
